Mr. Aster is the Solid Waste Director for Craven County.  He has been employed with Craven County since 2015. As the Solid Waste Director, he oversees Craven Countys seven convenience centers, as well as the county wide curbside trash sticker and recycling contracts. He was instrumental in disaster debris management during Hurricane Florence and Hurricane Isaias. Mr. Aster was appointed to the Coastal Environmental Partnership's Board of Directors in 2024.
