The Tuscarora Landfill does not manage any waste haulers. Please contact your municipality or your hauler directly (GFL, Republic Services, etc.). 

The Tuscarora Landfill accepts the following:

  • MSW (municipal solid waste, also called household waste)
  • Inert Debris
  • C&D (construction and demolition debris)
  • Asbestos* please call ahead of time 252-633-1564
  • Mobile Homes* drained of all liquids
  • Boats* drained of all liquids
  • Non-contaminated Soil* please call for questions

The Tuscarora Landfill also accepts the following non-landfilled items:

  • Pallets
  • Scrap Tires
  • Oyster Shells
  • Yard Waste (clean, untreated, unpainted wood)
  • White Goods (dryers, refrigerators, etc.)

All transfer stations accept the following:

  • MSW (municipal solid waste, also called household waste)
  • C&D (construction and demolition debris)

The transfer stations also accept the following non-landfilled items:

  • Pallets
  • Scrap Tires
  • Yard Waste (clean, untreated, unpainted wood)

The Grantsboro Transfer Station also accepts:

  • Oyster Shells

The convenience centers are managed by their respective counties and are not directly affiliated with Coastal Environmental Partnership. Different convenience centers may accept different types of waste and recycling. Please visit the websites below for more information.
